日本では3.11の震災後、「絆」「縁」「結」などの言葉に注目が集まっているが、 ウェブはHTMLによるウェブページ間のリンクによって大きく進化してきた。 今、ウェブはその進化のプロセスの中での新たなフェーズにさしかかっている。 ウェブオブドキュメントからウェブオブデータへ、新たなパラダイムとして期待されるLinked Open Data（LOD）。 LODはウェブ上のデータとデータをつないで行くことで、ウェブそのものを巨大なデータベースとして扱えるようにしようというムーブメントである。 Wikipediaのデータ、New York Times誌の人名や場所に関するデータ、BBC（イギリス国営放送）の放送に関するデータ、欧米各国の政府データなど、海外ではすでに多くのデータがLOD化されている。 講演者は地域情報化への取り組みを進める中でこのLODに着目した。 LOD、地域情報クラウドなどの概
