名詞化接尾辞「-み」についての仮説色々。何度か追記しました。 今年のはじめくらいからよくみるようになった「死にたみ」「つらみ」「ねむみ」といった表現について、接尾辞の観点から色々考えてみました。 僕のTLでこの表現そのもののニュアンスが話題になったこともあって、ちょっと気になっていたので。 1は分析道具の紹介なので、分析結果だけ関心ある人はいきなり2から読んでもらってもかまいません。 1 名詞化接尾辞「-み」の生産性と特徴について 先ほど挙げた例で使われている表現の共通点は、形容詞(助動詞「-たい」も含む)に名詞化接尾辞「-み」を付与したものだということ。この派生過程自体は、通常の「-み」の用法と同じであり、特に違反性はない。例えば「あたたかみ」「赤み」「苦み」などの表現は一般的に用いられており、また独立した語彙として辞書に記載されているものもある。なぜ、一見同様の派生条件を持っているにも
どの世界にも業界用語というものがありますが、IT業界の人がやりがちなのがカタカナ用語の多用です。 「アライアンスによるインタラクティブかつウィンウィンなスキームでステークホルダーにコンプライアンスを云々・・・」等、やり過ぎるとルー語的になってしまい、相手に「意味がわからない」とか「カッコつけてるの?」と不快感を与えかねません。 ちなみに私事ですが、先日、妻から用事を頼まれたとき、 「土曜はちょっとタイトだわ。日曜ならいいけど、リスケでOK?じゃあ、それでアサインしといて。え、毎週するの?だったらルーチンタスクにしとくほうがよくね?」 って返事したら、 (*`Д´*) 「日本語で言え!わざわざ横文字にすんな」 (#^ω^) 「“カタカナ用語使いこなすオレ、かっけー”とか思ってるでしょ?」 と、さんざん毒づかれてしまいました。 というわけで、IT業界で使用頻度の高い(と思われる)カタカナ用語

いつもならウランウデからウランバートルは鉄道を使っているのだが、今回は急ぐ旅だったので所要時間12時間のバスによる国境越えを行った。 それについてはそれほどのドラマもなく、ロシアもモンゴルも途中気分が悪くなるようなひどい道であったこと以外書くことはあまりない。 ただ、ロシア・モンゴル国境から、バスに乗り込む人々がいた。後で分かったことだが、入国管理に携わる人々とその家族などが乗り込むらしい。 ほぼ満員であったが、後ろに若干の空席がある。その1つは私の横にあった。 モンゴル人青年がそこに座った。後で聞いたところ、国境で入国審査などの仕事をしているらしい。昇級試験を受けにウランバートルに行くところとのこと。最初英語で話しかけてきたが、非常にうまかった。 ロシアで買った本が何冊か、座席の前についているポケットに入れてあるのを取って眺めていたが、そのうちに、本の裏側に書かれていた、縦に書いてある文

一般に、「日本人は議論が苦手である」と言われている。そもそも、日本人は議論が好きではないようだ。このことは、「議論(意見)を戦わせる」などの用法に顕著なように、日本語の「議論」という言葉には、攻撃的な含意が強いことに見て取れるのではないか。議論という言葉だけではなく、英語のcriticalの批判的を非難の意味で捉たり、aggressiveを積極的というよりは攻撃的と思っているふしがある。 つまり、「こころ」優しい日本人は、言葉にせよ、態度にせよ、自者を積極的に他者に対峙させること自体、とかく攻撃的なので良くないと考える傾向が強いのかもしれない。本来、自者と他者の対峙は、論理的・建設的な議論の前提として必要でこそあれ、攻撃的であるか否かとは別物であるにも関わらず、である。 現に、KY(空気が読めない)に代表される暗黙の疎外圧力は、対峙とは程遠いが、KYとみなされた者に対して極めて攻撃的である
