1.1 コース・デザインの発想をもとう 1.1.1 「コース」と「クラス」と「科目」と「授業」 まず、このティップスで一貫して使われる語を区別することから始めましょう。最も重要なのは「コース」と「クラス」の区別です。 クラスとは、通常週1回、90分、教室で行われる教育活動を指します。「今日は第1限に授業があるから、早く起きた」というときの、いわゆる「授業」のことですね。 コースとは、このクラスを10数回含む、1つの学期にわたって展開される、いわゆる「科目」を意味します。「今学期は、4コマの授業を担当することになった」と言うときの「授業」のことです。 このティップスでは前者を「授業」あるいは「クラス」、後者を「コース」と呼ぶことにします。この区別が重要だと述べたのは、単にクラスが10数回集まるとコースになるわけではないからです。コースにはクラス以上のものが含まれています。たとえば、シラバスの
