ゲームの保存における課題を探るプロジェクトの報告書（米国） コンピュータゲームとインタラクティブ・フィクション（テキストによるゲーム）の保存における課題等を調査するプロジェクト「バーチャル世界の保存」（Preserving Virtual Worlds；CA1719参照）の最終報告書が，2010年9月20日に公表された。同プロジェクトは，イリノイ大学アーバナシャンペーン校等の5つの大学と，オンライン上の仮想世界“Second Life”を運営するリンデンラボ社の計6者により，米国議会図書館（LC）が実施している「全米デジタル情報基盤整備・保存プログラム」 （NDIIPP；CA1502参照）の事業の一環として，2008年から2010年にかけて実施されたものである。 報告書の要約部分では，技術・社会・法律等の領域も踏まえた，バーチャル世界の保存における重要課題として，次のような点を挙げている。
