「今度こそオラクルのシェアを奪う」、日本MSがSQL Serverで本気の販促
「Oracle Databaseの市場を奪うための施策だ」。日本マイクロソフト（MS）は2016年4月21日、同社のデータベース（DB）ソフトの新版「SQL Server 2016」の販促策として、他社製のデータベースソフトからの乗り換えを促進する移行支援プログラムを発表した。 今回のプログラムの柱は二つある。他社製のDBからSQL Serverに移行する場合、SQL Serverのライセンスを「限りなく100％に近い値引きの特別価格」（クラウド＆エンタープライズビジネス本部クラウド＆サーバー製品マーケティング部の斎藤泰行部長）で提供すること。そして富士通やNECなど9社のパートナーによる移行支援サービスの提供だ。 日本MSは今回のプログラムは対象を「他社製データベース」と広く提示しているが、斎藤部長は冒頭のように述べ、主要なターゲットはOracle DBと明確に示している。「顧客やパート
