農林水産省は、本日、ブラジル連邦共和国（以下「ブラジル」という。）におけるBSEの発生確認を受けて、直ちに同国産の牛肉製品等の輸入を停止しました。 経緯 ブラジル・パラナ州の繁殖牛（雌）（2010年12月死亡。死亡時約13歳）にBSE*が確認された旨、平成24年12月7日付けで同国政府より国際獣疫事務局（OIE）に対して通報がありました（OIEによる公表は12月8日）。 *BSE： Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (牛海綿状脳症） 対応 上記経緯を受けて、本病の我が国への侵入防止に万全を期するため、本日、ブラジル産の牛肉製品等の輸入を停止するとともに、当該事案について同国家畜衛生当局へ追加情報を求めました。 （参考）ブラジルからの牛肉※1 の主な輸入実績  （単位：トン）
