アフリカ音楽ファンにお勧めの強力アルバムが登場です。 マリの首都バマコにあるフランス文化センターにおいて2004年12月23日に開催されたコンサートのライヴ録音。コレがマリ音楽の偉大なマスターたちが勢揃いしたマリ・オールスターズとも言えるメンバーが集まった一夜でした。バラフォンは先に新作が日本盤でも登場したケレディギ・ジャバテで、ギターはジェリマディ・トゥンカラ...と、メンバーの名前を聞いただけでマリ音楽ファンならウナってしまうところ。 さらに日本でもお馴染みのアビブ・コワテやディエネバ・セックら若い世代も加わっていあｍす。 しかも素晴らしいのはそんなマスターたちが一同に会した公演ということでアレンジや細かい取り決めは一切ナシ。一夜限りのフリー・インプロヴィゼーションに徹した公演だったということです。こんな自由な演奏が聴けるライヴ･アルバムはこれまでにアフリカ音楽では殆どありませんでした
