Apple Computerは4月11日、デスクトップ管理ソフトの新版「Remote Desktop 3」を発表した。Mac OS Xバージョン10.4“Tiger”の機能を活用し、Intelプロセッサ搭載のMac向けに最適化。50以上の新機能を組み込んでソフト配布、資産管理、リモートアシスタンスの強化を図っている。 Remote Desktop 3ではTiger搭載の複数マシンをSpotlightで検索することができ、反復的なシステム管理作業を自動化できるAutomatorアクションは30種類以上を提供。リモートシステムの状態を監視できるDashboardウィジェット、モバイルシステムがオンラインに戻ると自動的にソフトがインストールされるAutoInstallなどが盛り込まれている。 OSは管理者用／クライアント用システムともMac OS X v10.3.9以降に対応する。日本での販売価
