JPEGの特徴 JPEG(Joint Photographic Experts Group) 静止画像データの圧縮方式の一つ。 非可逆圧縮方式を用いている。 サイズはおよそ１０分の１から１００分の１程度にできる。 拡張子はjpgである。 ブロックノイズ(四角いブロック状のノイズ）が生じる。 JPEG2000の特徴 画像圧縮方式の１つでJPEGを発展させた仕様。 同サイズであればJPEGと比べ圧倒的に窗麗。 ブロックノイズが発生しない。 可逆圧縮/非可逆圧縮を自由に行うことができる。 「電子透かし」を入れることができる。 1ファイルから異なる解像度の画像を得ることも可能。「スケーラビリティ」 ROI(Region Of Interest)処理ができる。 拡張子が１つに統一されていない。 JPEGの数倍の処理能力が必要である。 現行JPEGとの互換性がない。 標準のブラウザには対応していない。
