    １９８８年のマイルチャンピオンシップ（GI）に勝利するなど、重賞競走を計４勝し、現役引退後は社台スタリオンステーションなどにおいて種牡馬として供用されていたサッカーボーイ号（牡・２６歳）は、１０月７日（金）午前９時２５分、社台スタリオンステーション（北海道勇払郡安平町）で蹄葉炎のため死亡したとの連絡がありましたのでお知らせいたします。 ◆ノーザンファーム　吉田　勝己　代表のコメント 「本当に能力の高かった馬で、函館記念やマイルチャンピオンシップの勝ちっぷりが強い印象として残っています。 種牡馬となってからも産駒が良く走ってくれました。ここ数年は蹄葉炎で苦しんでいましたが、つらい思いをしながらも種付けをこなしてくれ、本当にえらい馬でした。天寿を全うしたと言えるのではないでしょうか。」 ◆小野　幸治調教師のコメント 「私が今まで管理した中で、一番良く走ってくれた馬なのでとても印象に残

    Uncle Moは現役から引退したらCoolmoreのAshford Studに種牡馬入りすることに決まった。同馬の現役中の権利は現オーナーのMike Repole氏が保持していると。同馬は来年も現役を続ける模様。
