Google、低品質なサイトをブロックするChrome拡張を公開 | スラド IT
Googleが「薄っぺらい内容や品質の低いWebサイトをブロックする」というGoogle Chrome拡張「Personal Blocklist」を公開した（Google Official Blog、Internet Watch）。 ここで言われている「薄っぺらい内容や品質の低いWebサイト」というのは、ほかのサイトの情報をコピーしたり、それらしいキーワードが埋め込まれた文章を自動生成して作成したサイトに相当する。この拡張をインストールすると、Googleの検索結果に「Block （対象のサイト名）」というリンクが追加され、これにより指定したサイトをブロックできるようになるとのこと。ユーザーがブロックしたサイトの情報はGoogleに送信され、検索アルゴリズムの研究に役立てられるそうだ。
