3GP/3G2/AMC/MPEG-4/MOVや無圧縮のAVI形式などの動画ファイルを相互変換できる「QTConverter」v1.2.2が、11日に公開された。Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003に対応するフリーソフトで、現在作者のホームページからダウンロードできる。動作には、「QuickTime」v6.5.2/7.0.2が必要。 「QTConverter」は、携帯電話で再生可能な3GP/3G2/AMC、ISMA互換およびH.264のMPEG-4、MOV、無圧縮のAVI形式などの動画ファイルを相互変換できるソフト。まず変換元の動画ファイルをダイアログで選択し、その動画内の変換したい部分を開始・終了位置の時間で指定しよう。あとは、プルダウンメニューで変換後のファイル形式を選択して［変換］ボタンを押すれば、変換元の動画ファイルと同一フォルダ内に変換後のファイルが作成される。
