070403追記： mt-daapdは現在Fireflyと名前を変えています。Fireflyについては、 mt-daapd改めFirefly の方を参照してください。iTunes7以降はFireflyでアクセスできるようですし、Windows他マルチプラットフォームに対応しています（PowerPCやMIPS,ARMといったプロセッサにも対応している）。 「素箱」 にも入っているらしい mt-daapd を家鯖に入れてみた。 daapdとは 簡単に言うと、 「おうちでできるiTunes対応のストリーミングサーバ」 ってことで、NAS代わりにlinuxやらBSD箱を置いている人は箱にぶち込んだmp3ファイルをこれで宅内の複数のPCに同時に配信できる。しかも負荷も小さめ。Windowsクライアントがsambaで共有されたディレクトリ内のmp3ファイルを読みに行くより負荷は小さいのではないかと思う
