オープンソースカメラ – 船田戦闘機日誌 at nnar
美しい山道を登っていくカデル・エヴァンスの後ろ姿(HDでご覧ください)。自転車用品のTacx社が提供している映像なんですが、この撮影に使われたのがオープンソースなカメラシステム「Elphel313」。Elphel社のカメラはハードとソフトの情報がすべてGNU GPLのもとで公開されています。 Elphelシリーズの外見は監視カメラ風。四角い箱にレンズが付いているだけで、手に持って使う感じではありません。いっぽう、現在開発が進められているHD画質のシネマカメラApertusは、Elphelシリーズをベースにしながら人間が直接操作することも想定したデザインのようです。自由な取り回しを可能にするロッドやダイヤル式のインタフェイスを備える予定。ちなみに、インタフェイス部のコントローラはArduinoになるかもしれない、とのこと。 カメラがオープンソースだとどんないいことがあるのか？ この点について
