Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP/Vistaに対応したアンチウイルスソフト「AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition」の日本語版がついに先ほど、ようやく公開されました。家庭内で個人的に非商用で利用するのであれば無料です。 いろいろと機能的な制限はあるものの、常駐させることが可能で、なおかつ定期的にパソコンの中をフルスキャンさせたり、あるいは右クリックから任意のファイルをスキャンするといったことも可能ですし、メールの送受信時に自動的にスキャンしてチェックすることもできます。なので、とりあえずアンチウイルスソフトに払うお金がないという人には最適なのかも。 というわけで、実際にインストールして使ってみました。 ダウンロードは以下から可能です。 AVG - AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition ダウンロードしたらクリックして実行 「次へ」をクリック

どれくらい、の問いにははっきり答えられませんが、注意点としては無料のアンチウイルスソフトには電話やメールによるサポートがありませんので、万一ウイルスに侵された場合は自力で対処するほかはありません。またAvast!を除けば英語のソフトですし、Avast!も本社はチェコなので日本語の信頼できる情報は限られていると思います。 追記 とはいうものの、私自身はすべてのセキュリティソフトを無料のもので済ませています。 お金がもったいないとか、仕事で使うPCではないからということもありますが、有料のアンチウイルスソフトが無料のものより優れている点は、上で述べたとおり「サポートがあるかないか」くらいだと思います。そのくせ、その肝心の電話サポートもどこまで信用できるやら・・と、こちら↓の質問を読んで思います。電話サポートはいつも混んでいて、つながりにくいとも聞きますし。http://detail.chieb
