Webサーバーとして、Ubuntu 9.04 server editionをインストールした。 使用言語として日本語を選択してインストールすると、コンソール画面のメッセージが文字化けしてしまう。 ●日本語の文字化け ubuntu server 9.04 i386 をインストールしました。 インストーラで日本語を選択した場合、コンソールでも各プログラムが日本語を出力しようとしますが、標準のコンソールでは日本語が表示できないため文字化けしてしまいます。 ●文字化け対策 ubuntu server 9.04 i386 をインストールしました。 コンソールで英語のメッセージを表示させるための設定を最初に行っておきましょう。 以下のコマンドでホームディレクトリの.bashrcをエディタ開きます。 nanoというエディタで開いています。 $ nano ~/.bashrc ファイルの末尾に、以下のように

Hi, I've installed an Ubuntu 8.10 RC guest on a Mac (Leopard) host, and then installed the guest additions (installation went fine, no errors). Shared folders work, screen resizing works, seamless mode works (unusable though it be without mouse integration), but I have no mouse integration - the option to disable it is simply greyed out, and it continues to behave just as it did before I installed
