世界保健機関（ＷＨＯ）は２０日、世界の女性の約３５％が、夫や恋人らから暴力を振るわれたり、他人から性的暴行を受けたりしたことがあるとの推計を発表した。 世界で殺害された女性の約３８％は夫や恋人らが加害者とされ、ＷＨＯは「加盟各国が女性への暴行対策を強化すべきだ」としている。 １５歳以上の女性に関する８１カ国・地域から得られた複数の調査をまとめた。 夫や恋人以外による性的暴行を経験した女性は、全体の約７％に上る。（共同）
