Aidan Koch is an artist and graphic novelist based in the Mojave Desert on unceded Serrano land. Koch's work uses modes of ecological story-telling to explore loving and fraught relationships between humans, non-human animals, and landscapes. 自分にとってのスーパースター、そして師でもあるイラストレーター木内達朗さんの、実に１０年ぶりとなる個展「白と熊」へ、展示最終日である9月22日に駆け込み的に行って来た。 まず「白と熊」という、シンプルながら非常に興味を惹かれる展示名、こちらに興味を惹かれる人は多いと思うが、どうやらこの「白」とは「ニュートラル」や「オープン」といった概念を表しているようで、伝わることが目的である（仕事で描いている) 自身のデジタル作品の事であるとのことだ。 これはすなわちイラストレーションという営みそのものを表現しているのではないかと思う。 それに対しての、非イラストレーション的な絵、つまり人に何かを伝達するといった目的から離れた、プライベートでパーソナルなペインティング ＝「内に秘めたる本能や野生」というキーワードを、「熊」という比喩で表しているというわけだ。 なるほど、その個展名の通り、仕事で描いた絵と

Hey ! Aujourd'hui j'aimerais parler de l'épineuse question des décors (vous êtes quelques uns à m'avoir questionné sur ce sujet). Sur Agito, ils se doivent d'être un peu fouillés. On est dans un récit de sf, la terre a changé de tête et du coup il faut le montrer un minimum et faire que ce soit un peu marquant.
