% mt retension (注: [ ] 内の文字は省略可能) file_number は mt status コマンドで表示される番号で、 テープメディア上の「ファイル名」と考えて良いでしょう。 これは予めどこかに控えておかなければなりません。 2. バックアップをとろう tar コマンドを使います。 まず、現在記録している最後の位置までテープを移動させます。 % mt eom テープの動作が終了したら % mt st (← mt status の省略形) として今から書き込むファイル番号を確認しておきます。 % tar cvf /dev/rmt/0cbn file これで、テープが動き出して file がテープに書き込まれます。 今はデバイス名に n をつけていますので、終了後 % mt st としてテープの状態を見ると、ファイル番号が 1 増えていることが分かります。 3. 復元
