少し古い情報なのですが「プレイ履歴」に関して「社長が訊くWiiプロジェクト」内で語られています。Wiiにはプレイ履歴システム（ゲームタイトル、プレイ時間、プレイした日時などが残ります） 履歴システムだけなら当然のようにあることかもしれませんが、削除不能というのは勇気のある選択だと思います。「ゲームが家庭で嫌われないように」と考えた上でできた機能だそうです。 「60分プレイしたら勝手に電源がOFFになるゲームハードは開発可能か?」というアイデアを岩田代表取締役社長が出したそうで、社長の鶴の一声として社内を伝播したそうです。しかし、最終的には妥協策としてプレイ履歴機能にたどり着いたそうです。 プレイ記録を両親が確認して、ゲームのプレイ時間や内容について親と相談する。これまでよりもゲームに親しみを覚えてもらうことができそうですね。
