EIFLによる途上国におけるオープンアクセス推進助成プログラムの成果（記事紹介）
欧州の国際的なNPO団体であるEIFLは、EIFLが実施している途上国におけるオープンアクセス（OA）推進助成プログラム“EIFL-OA”の成果について、2012年2月28日に報告しています。報告記事によると、この“EIFL-OA”では、2011年にアフリカや東欧の11の図書館・図書館コンソーシアムに対し助成を行ったようです。その結果、1,700名以上の各国の政策立案者や研究者、出版社、図書館員等がOAに関するワークショップ等のイベントに参加、7つの言語でOAに関する教育資料等が作成され、30のOAリポジトリが設立、3つの大学でOA出版のイニシアティブがとられることに繋がったとのことです。さらに記事では、ボツワナ、ガーナ、エストニア、リトアニア、ウクライナ等の各国での主な成果について紹介しています。 EIFL open access advocacy grants deliver big
途上国の文化遺産保護のための“Global Heritage Network”
文化遺産保護活動を行う米国のNGO団体であるGlobal Heritage Fundが、“Global Heritage Network”（GHN）というプロジェクトを立ち上げていました。2011年3月15日付けのプレスリリースによると、このGHNは、崩壊等で失われる危険性のある途上国の文化遺産をモニタリングし、保護するためのネットワークとのことで、(1) 失われる危険性のある文化遺産をGoogle Earthでマッピングしたデータベース“GHN Sites”、(2) 文化遺産保存のための活動を行う人々のソーシャルネットワークである“GHN Community ”、(3) 文化遺産保存に関するリソースを提供する“GHN Library”の3つをウェブサイトで提供しているようです。 Global Heritage Network http://globalheritagefund.org/g
