日本製ラズパイの工場見学レポート
今日はラズベリーパイが製造されている愛知県稲沢市のソニーの工場を見学する機会に恵まれたのでここで報告したい。「え？！ラズパイってイギリス製じゃないの？日本で作ってるの？」という方のために少し解説しよう。 ラズパイって日本製なの？ 結論から言えばラズパイは日本でも作られている。現在RSが日本向けに販売しているラズパイのほとんどが日本で製造されたものだ。背景は次の通りだ。ものづくりは「設計（デザイン）」と「製造（マニュファクチャリング）」の2つの工程から成るが、ラズパイの場合、イギリスにあるラズベリーパイ財団が「設計」を、RSが「製造（と流通）」を、それぞれ担当している。ただRSは製造設備を持たないため、2013年より英国ウェールズにあるソニーのペンコイド工場に製造を委託し、それを輸入して販売していた。 しかし今後発生するであろう「日本市場での更なる需要拡大」に対応できるよう、2016年10月
