Apache Antプロジェクトのサブプロジェトとして活動しているIvyプロジェクトは1月23日、依存性管理ツールの新版「Apache Ivy 2.0.0」をリリースしたと発表した。 Apache Ivyは、柔軟性が特徴の依存性管理ツール。ビルドツール「Apache Ant」との親和性が高く、Antのビルドファイルに組み込んで利用することができる。「Apache Maven」のリポジトリを参照することも可能で、Mavenの機能の一部をより簡単な作法で活用できるツールとして脚光を浴びている。依存関係等をまとめたレポート出力機能なども備える。 新版では、Maven2との互換性、キャッシュ管理、並列処理のサポートなどが強化されているほか、数多くのバグ修正も実施。Ivyプロジェクトではすべてのユーザーに今回の正規リリース版を利用するよう促している。 Ivyは、もともと仏Jayasoftによって開発
