The earliest use of IBM typewriter “lettering” may have been on Stan Drake’s “The Heart of Juliet Jones”. 10 kick ass opening credit sequences at laboratory101 | a viral agency blog 上記の記事がすごく面白かったので（やっぱりSnatchのオープニングはかっこいいなあ！）、上の記事で補足されていない、いわゆるクラシックといわれるオープニング映像（上記の記事であげられているcatch me if you canのオープニングの元ネタになっているような作品ね）をSaul Bassと、Maurice Binderを中心に、好きなやつを適当にセレクト。どれも今みても相当かっこいい、まさにモーショングラフィックスのお手本的作品ばかりだと思います。 私は長いあいだ、観衆はフィルムの最初の一コマから映画に引きずりこまれなくてはならないということを考えていた。そのころ、タイトルは義務的で、ほとんど無視されていた。それには言い訳があった。
