先日(2008/07/28)、SunからOpenDS Standard Edition 1.0がリリースされた。 [UPDATE(2009/2/11] OpenDS 1.2.0 Stable がリリースされています。 既に、多くのLDAP, Directory Serverの実装がある。 元々は、Netscape Directory Serverから派生した Sun Java Sytstem Directory Server, Fedora Directory Server, RedHat Directory Serverや、その他 OpenLDAP, Microsoft Active Directory 等など・・・ OpenDSはそれらに比べると、後発であり、ゆっくりと開発がすすんでいたが、ようやくの正式リリースとなったようだ。Pure JavaのLDAPサーバー、しかも極めてサイズ
