#7540 (Fix Python 3 compatibility for twisted.internet.base) – Twisted
"argChecker" function is broken in Python 3.x because it uses "unicode" identifier: https://twistedmatrix.com/trac/browser/trunk/twisted/internet/base.py?rev=41904#L880 This was reported in https://twistedmatrix.com/trac/ticket/6065, but apparently the issue still exists, and I can't find an existing ticket for it. We're slowly porting Scrapy to Python 3.x, and this issue causes some tests to fail
