Universal Robots(以下、UR)は累計50,000台目となる協働ロボットをドイツのクラウヘンヴィース-ゲッギンゲンにあるVEMA technische Kunststoffteile GmbH(以下、VEMA GmbH)に納品したことを発表した。 協働ロボットは産業オートメーション分野で最も成長著しいセグメントであり、米国Research and Markets社の調査によると2020年から2025年の年平均成長率(CAGR)は30.37％に達すると予測されている。VEMA GmbHでは最終工程でピックアンドプレース用途にすでに3台のURロボットが展開されており、今回の納品により4台目となる。
