  アメリカの女の子4人組バンド The Linda Lindas をSNSで知った。アジア系、ラテン系の4人（10歳〜16歳）からなるパンクバンドである。ディストーションギターをかき鳴らす元気のよさも嬉しいし、歌詞も印象的だ。個性的であること、人種差別の経験、コロナ禍の鬱屈など、どれも2020年代らしいタイムリーなメッセージばかりである。わけても、クラスの男の子から「親から中国人と話すなと言われた」と伝えられ「自分も中国系だ」と答えたところ、その日から距離を置かれたという経験を曲にした “Racist, Sexist Boy” の爆発するようなサウンドにはしびれてしまった。ここには彼女たちのリアルな肉声が感じ取れる。 バンドに関する記事（リンク参照）を読むと、彼女らの両親は、レコーディングエンジニアとして Best Coast や Paramore を手がけていたり、カルチャー雑誌を運営する
