Time Warnerの株主で億万長者のCarl Icahnは米国時間19日、同社の取締役会に対し「悲惨な結果を招く、目先だけの判断」を下さぬよう警告した。 Time Warner傘下のAmerica Online(AOL)が検索大手のGoogleと独占契約を結ぶことになれば、株主は取締役会に責任を問うことになると、Icahnは警告した。 Wall Street Journalなどの各種メディアは先週、Time WarnerとGoogleが密かに仮契約に至ったことを伝えた。その内容は、Googleが10億ドルを投じてAOLの5%の株式を購入するというものだが、この評価ではAOLの時価総額は200億ドルになる。 Googleは、Microsoftを押し切る形でAOLと提携することになるが、このニュースを受けて16日に430ドル15セントでひけたGoogleの株価は、19日には446ドル21セ
