iBeacon対応、突出6mmの小型ビーコン端末「Beacon USB」
エクスフロンティアは4月16日、iBeacon licensed technologyを用いた超小型ビーコン端末「Beacon USB」を販売開始した。Amazonでの販売価格は1セット3個入りで1万2000円(税送料込)。 Beacon USBの電源はUSBポートから供給され、装着時の突出はわずか6mm。設置されたビーコンは、Bluetooth 4.0をサポートするiOS 7搭載デバイスのiBeacon対応アプリへ、広告表示など独自の命令を送ることが可能だ。たとえば、端末に店舗アプリをインストールした顧客が特定の商品棚へ近づいた際に画面上へクーポンを表示させたり、美術館や博物館で付近の展示物の解説を表示させられる。ラインアップは、3色セットのFrance（青・白・赤）、Belgium（黒・黄・赤）、および単色3個セットのRosso（赤）、Bleu（青）。 個体を識別するUUID、Majo
