今日はアニメじゃなくて iPhone 関係のフォントの話です。 ちょっと長くなりそうなので早速始めましょう。 ■ iPhone 自体のフォント Apple 社の Macintosh には「ヒラギノ」シリーズの和文フォントが搭載されていることが有名ですが、iPhone にも同じフォントが搭載されています。 下の画像は iPhone の標準ブラウザである Safari の画面ですが、この文字の表示に使われているのがヒラギノ角ゴです。 もちろん Safari だけでなく、iPhone OS やその他のアプリでも使われてます。 ただし、Mac には「ヒラギノ角ゴ」以外にも「ヒラギノ明朝」と「ヒラギノ丸ゴ」が搭載されているのに対して iPhone には「角ゴ」しか入っていません。 なので、iPhone では標準的な太さの「ヒラギノ角ゴ W3」と、やや太めの「W6」の２種類しか和文フォントの選択肢が無

この本がすごく面白かった！ 書体の研究とあるけど、堅苦しいものではなくて、アニメや漫画、ラノベのタイトルロゴを既存のフォントで再現してみたり、例えば、さよなら絶望先生のロゴの書体で図書館戦争（さよなら図書館戦争(笑)）のロゴを作ってみたりと、遊びごころもりだくさん！ もちろん、書体の研究だけあって、各種フォントに関しての一覧もあったりと実用度もあります。 もともとは、同人誌として作られていたものを商業本化したものらしくて、かなりマニアックな作りです。 ゆず屋: [夏コミ新刊] 『書体の研究』最新情報 ゆず屋: [冬コミ新刊] 『書体の研究』vol.2 ちょっと高めの本ですけど、眺めているだけでも楽しいし、フォントの情報も得られし、ロゴデザインやタイポグラフィのネタ帳にもなりそうです。 そうそう出版されるタイプの本ではないと思うので、紹介しました。 読んでいて、にまにまします(笑)
