Raspberry Pi財団は2021年7月28日、Raspberry Pi活用事例として、35mmフィルムカメラを改造してデジタルカメラ化できる「Digital Film Cartridge for Analog Cameras」を紹介した。 今回使用したカメラは、約50年前の一眼レフ「コシナ・ハイライト」だ。フィルムの代わりに、Raspberry Piベースのカメラモジュールを装填すれば、見た目はアナログカメラ、中身はデジタルカメラに変身する。 カメラモジュールはフィルムカートリッジからフィルムを引き出したような形状で、カートリッジ装填部にはLiPoバッテリーとDC-DCコンバーター、撮像面にはレンズを取り外した「Raspberry Piカメラ」、フィルム巻き上げ側には「Raspberry Pi Zero W」というように、カメラ内部の小さなスペースに必要な部品をうまく組み込んでいる。
