Mozilla Foundationは22日に公開されたPC用に続いて、Android用のウェブブラウザー「Firefox 4」の正式版をリリースした。動作にはAndroid 2.0以降、また17MBのストレージ領域が必要。Androidマーケットから無料でダウンロードできる(リンク)。 なお、今回リリースされたバージョンでは、Android用アプリで一般的な「Dalvik VM」と呼ばれる仮想マシン上での動作ではなく、ネイティブコードを含む開発キット(Android NDK)を用いているため、現時点ではメインプロセッサーにARMv7アーキテクチャを用いた端末上でのみ動作する。具体的には「Xperia」や「GALAXY S」、「IS03」、「HTC Desire」といったハイエンドクラスはほぼサポートするが、ARMv6コアを採用している「HTC Aria」や「ZTE Blade」(日本では
