ケンブリッジ大学図書館の所蔵する、19世紀の博物学者チャールズ・ダーウィンの蔵書をデジタル化した“Charles Darwin’s Library”が、生物多様性遺産図書館（Biodiversity Heritage Library）のウェブサイトで公開されています。蔵書1480冊のうち730冊にはダーウィン本人の書き込みがあり、まず第1期として、そのうち書き込みの量の多い330冊が公開されたとのことです。蔵書の画像の隣に、そのページの書き込みの文章やアンダーラインの場所等がテキストで表示されるようになっており、それらは検索も可能なようです。書き込み部分のテキストは、ダーウィン研究者により作成されたものが使用されているとのことです。ケンブリッジ大学図書館と生物多様性遺産図書館のほか、米国自然史博物館、英国自然史博物館等によるプロジェクトです。 Charles Darwin’s Librar
