米Eucalyptus Systemsは11月5日（米国時間）、オープンソースのクラウドコンピューティングソフトウェア「Eucalyptus 1.6.1」を発表した。Eucalyptus Systemsとしてリリースする初のアップグレードとなる。性能を強化し、実装の柔軟性などが改善されている。 Eucalyptusは、カリフォルニア州立大学サンタ・バーバラ校コンピュータ科学学部で開発が進められてきたオープンソースのクラウドソフトウェア。自社ITインフラを利用してオンプレミスのクラウドを構築でき、米Amazonの「Amazon Web Service（AWS）」で提供するパブリッククラウドとのAPIもある。英Canonicalが「Ubuntu」で採用している。Eucalyptus Systemsは、Eucalyptusを扱うベンチャーで、今年4月に事業活動を開始した。 最新版は、Eucaly
