Frankie Knuckles’ nearly six year stint at the Warehouse had a huge influence on Chicago’s dance music scene. Robert Williams encouraged Knuckles to move from New York to Chicago in 1977 to headline his new after-hours juice bar, the Warehouse, at 206 S. Jefferson Street. Knuckles became famous for spinning disco edits alongside the latest underground cuts. In December 1982, Knuckles moved to the
