電通の調査組織、電通総研は、電車やバス内での動画視聴の実態把握を目的に「通勤・通学時における動画視聴」調査を実施し、その結果を10月30日発表した。手持ちのスマートフォンやタブレットが対象で、通勤・通学中に動画を視聴する人は約50％あり、若年層では約20％が毎日視聴していた。調査は東京都、神奈川、千葉、埼玉県をエリアに6月19～21日にインターネットで実施した。18～49歳の男女通勤者498人と、高校生から大学生(上限25歳)までの通学者166人が回答した。 動画を視聴する層は約50％だが、学生は約60％にのぼった。毎日(1日に1回以上)視聴する割合は、通勤者男性の18～29歳で21.8％、同30～39歳で18.6％、通勤者女性18～29歳で18.4％、通学者男性が21.4％、通学者女性19.6％と、若年層を中心に20％前後となった。「YouTube」などの共有系動画サービスの利用がどの年
