Eating Crocodile Helped Boost Early Human Brains?

中国の台湾系工場で連続する自殺：イザ！
■今年にはいってipodの城と呼ばれていた富士康国際の工場（富士康国際は台湾の鴻海科技集団の中国法人、工場は深センにある）で工員が次々自殺していることは、すでに報道されているのでご存知の方も多いだろう。今のところ、１３人（16人という説も）が連続して自殺（うち１０人死亡、３人治療）事件が発生し、ネットでは「自殺するなら富士康へ」なんて、ブラックジョークがあふれている。 ■富士康といえば、私が北京に駐在していた２００６年ころ、汗血工場（労働搾取）の実態を勇気ある中国人女性記者（第一財経日報）が現場取材してルポを発表したが、その記者に対する企業と当局による圧力問題も発生、最終的には微妙な手打ちで、うやむやになったという事件があった。その後、労働法が改正され、労働条件も最低賃金もそれなりにマシになって汗血工場はずいぶん減った、というふうに思いこんでいたところに、この連鎖反応のような自殺である。
