チェス・プロブレム - Wikipedia
チェス・プロブレム（英: chess problem）とはチェス・コンポジション（英: chess composition）とも呼ばれ、達成すべき特定の課題を解き手に提示する、チェスのルールに則ったパズルである。 たとえばある局面が与えられ、「白が1手指し、どの応手に対しても次の手で黒のキングをメイトせよ」という解答条件が示される。チェス・プロブレムを創作する人を作局家 composer と言う。チェス・プロブレムには多数の専門用語がある（下記の「用語」の項を参照のこと）。以下、項目名を除き、単にプロブレムと記す。 プロブレムと対比できるものとして、チェスコラムや雑誌によく掲載されている戦術的パズルがある。これは与えられた局面から最善の指し手（通常はメイトあるいは駒得に至る）を見つけさせる問題である。戦術的パズルは、実際の対局から採られたもの、もしくは少なくとも対局で生じる可能性のある局面
