Scala技術を提供する企業Typesafeは3月6日、分散並列型アプリケーションフレームワーク「Akka」の最新版「Akka 2.0」リリースを発表した。拡張性、フォールトトラレントなどを強化しているという。 TypesafeはScala言語を開発したMartin Odersky氏らが立ち上げた企業。ScalaやAkka関連技術を提供している。 Akkaは軽量な並列処理のためのライブラリ「Actor」をベースとし、分散/並列/フォールトトラレントなイベント駆動型アプリケーションを構築できるツールキットおよびランタイム。Remote Actorsおよび並列処理による拡張性、自動回復、抽象化といった特徴を備える。ライセンスはApache 2ライセンス。 Akka 2.0は1月にリリースした1.3からのメジャーアップグレードとなり、大幅な機能強化が施されている。Actorでは分散および非同期性
