電通総研の「若者まるわかり調査2015」(2015年2月)によると、若い世代ではTwitterの複数アカウント所持は当たり前となっている。高校生では62.7%、大学生では50.4%がTwitterで複数アカウントを所持している。女子高生3.4個、男子高生2.7個と、高校生にいたっては平均3.1個のアカウントを使い分けている。 普段の生活で使うことのあるキャラの数は、女子高生は6.6キャラ、男子高生は4.9キャラ。女子大生は5.8キャラ、20代社会人女子は4.8キャラなど、若ければ若いほど、男子より女子の方が使うキャラの数が多かった。キャラを使い分けるということは、コミュニティで役割を演じるということだ。人間関係の維持のために、複数のキャラを使い分けていると考えられる。女子の方が使うキャラ数が多いのは、一般的に男子より女子の方がコミュニケーションを好むことが影響しているだろう。 また、人間関
相手によって、見せたい自分が違うからである。 ネット上の知り合いなんて、相手によってそれぞれ違う自分の中の20%を、 まるで80%であるかのように見せて付き合うくらいが一番ちょうどよく楽しいと思っていた。 ホーム画面に蓄積されていく、Aさんに対する自分、Bさんに対する自分、Cさんに対する自分…… その複合体が、ぴったり「イコールの自分」になるように振る舞うのって、なんだか息苦しい。 そういうのはネットに求めていないのだ。 けれど、そうしないと、Aさんが、Bさんが、Cさんが私のホーム画面を見たときに きっと「あれっ?」って思ってしまう。 そしてそれで腹を立てたり、切なくなったり、呆れたりする。 やがて「あれっ?」は「おいっ!」になって帰ってくる。 そういうのに、なんだか疲れてしまった。 そんなのは現実でもうお腹いっぱいなのだ。 100%好きになれる人も、100%見せたい人も、100%見せて欲
