米Microsoftは12月15日、自社広告でオープンソースのコンテンツ管理システム「Drupal」を軽視したとし、Drupalコミュニティに対し謝罪した。広告をすべて削除し、再発を防ぐとしている。 謝罪はMicrosoftのWebプラットフォーム担当、Mark Brown氏がMSDNのブログにて行った。それによると、Microsoftが「Forget Drupal……」という文言とともに、自社「WebsiteSpark」プログラムへのリンクが入った広告をWebに掲示していた、という。WebsiteSparkは、小規模企業や個人開発者向けのWeb開発ツールやサポートを提供するプログラム。オープンソース技術対抗と位置づけられている。 Brown氏は、Drupalの創始者であるDries Buytaert氏よりTwitter経由でこの広告のことを知らされたと報告している。広告は、米Google
