印刷 南スーダンのジュバで９日、同国の独立を喜ぶ人たち＝ロイター スーダン南部が９日午前０時（日本時間午前６時）、「南スーダン共和国」として分離・独立した。北部のアラブ系中央政府との約半世紀におよぶ２度の南北内戦をへて、黒人住民らは自立の道を手にした。アフリカ大陸では５４番目の国。近く国連に１９３番目の国として加盟する。 日付が変わった瞬間、新首都ジュバの街頭には大勢の市民が繰り出し、歴史的瞬間を喜び合った。この日ジュバである式典で、独立宣言が行われる。式典には、国連の潘基文（パン・ギムン）事務総長や、スーダン西部ダルフール紛争をめぐって国際刑事裁判所から逮捕状が出ている、スーダンのバシル大統領が出席する予定だ。
