UIImageOrientation / EXIF orientation sample images
Whilst I was doing some work with images recently I was in desperate need for some sample images which were tagged with the EXIF orientation flag for each of the 8 orientations which are supported by UIImage in its UIImageOrientation metadata. I couldn’t find any already out there, so I made my own. And now I’m posting them here for anyone who might also find this useful. I now have these saved on

UPDATE Googleの「WebM」テクノロジには、ウェブベースビデオを変革するという以上の計画があったようだ。同社は、「WebP」と呼ばれる新しいフォーマットによって、ウェブ上の静止画像も変革したいと考えている。 Googleは米国時間9月30日、新しいグラフィックスフォーマットWebPと、これを使用することにより、現在主流のJPEGファイル形式と比べて、画像ファイルのサイズを約40％縮小できるという同社の研究結果とともに発表した。これにより、ファイル転送はより高速になり、GoogleがWebPの普及に成功すればネットワーク負荷が低下することになる。 WebPは、JPEGと同様に、ユーザーが画質と引き換えにファイルサイズを圧縮することができる。また、こちらもJPEGと同様に、「lossy」なフォーマットであり、元の画像を完璧に再現することはしないが、人間の目で見た場合に、できる限り元
