AP通信が、「hopefully」という単語を文頭に独立して持ってくることを許可する、と29日に発表した。どういうことかというと、 Hopefully, you will come. という文章を記事に書くことを認めたということ。 はぁ？という感じ。それ以外にhopefullyを使うタイミングが思いつかないくらい普通にHopefully, って使いますよね。 で、hopefullyを文頭に独立で置いてはいけない派の争点が何だったかというと、 １）hopefullyは副詞である ２）副詞だから、かかる動詞が必要である ３）Hopefully, と文章を始めると、かかる動詞がなく宙ぶらりん ４）その上、Hopefully, you will come.は「できればきてくれるといいな」という意味で、来てくれるのを望んでいるのは発言している主であり、文中に登場するyouではない。それってdangl
