七色に輝くオーロラを作り出す「SPORE」
Image Savantというカリフォルニアのハリウッドにあるアートスタジオが開発した「SPORE」という超高速パーティクルレンダリングエンジンによって作られた画像やムービーです。このエンジン自体はIrix、Linux、Mac OS Xで動き、10億以上のパーティクルを同時に動かすことができるそうです。 最終的にはこのパーティクル自体を生態系と見なすような完全シミュレーションを行うそうです。そのため、イメージ生成の中には一部、遺伝子モデルを利用して描かれたグラフィックも存在しています。 鑑賞は以下から。壁紙としても十分に使えるし、イマジネーションを刺激するのにも最適。実際に各種有名な映画でも採用されています。 Image Savant - S P O R E http://imagesavant.com/index.html http://imagesavant.com/index2.ht
