Googleには「ウェブマスター ツール」というのがあり、自分のサイトのどこが更新されたかというのをサイトマップ(RSSで代用可能)によって通知し、Googleの検索クローラー(ページを取得して解析するプログラム)用のボットに来てもらうという便利な機能があるのですが、それと同じものがついに日本のYahoo!にも登場しました。その名は「Yahoo!検索 サイトエクスプローラー」、まだベータ版ですが、海外では2005年9月にリリースされており、遅れること実に2年半近く、やっと日本でも使えるようになったというわけ。 機能的にはかなり優秀で、インデックスされてYahoo!の検索結果として登録されている自分のサイトのページを確認してTSVまたはXML形式で最大1000件ほど出力したり、逆にインデックスされているページを非表示(Yahoo!の検索結果に出ない)にすることもできます。また、スパムサイトが
今日の午後、僕はかなり大きなプロジェクトの関係で、あるウェブデザイン会社と話をすることになった。 僕は今、ある会社から、事業資金の潤沢な半新興企業のCOOにならないかと持ちかけられていて、話を進めているところなんだ。けれども残念なことに、その会社のオーナーたちはすでにあるウェブデザイン会社を選んじゃってるんだよね(ただ幸いなことに、どんな形であれ僕にはその会社にこだわる義務はない)。 この役割を引き受ければ僕には、その会社のサイトからオフィスの壁紙の色まですべてに対して責任が生じる。そこで、引き受けるにあたって、そのデザイン会社と直接話をさせてほしいと頼んだ。そのほうが、その会社のこともその会社の能力もよくわかって、不安がなくなるからね。 僕はなんとなく、そのデザイン会社は、あまり技術面に詳しくないオーナーたち相手に、もっともらしい「バズワード」で煙に巻いて契約にこぎ付けたんじゃないかって
