思いっきり仕事中ですが腹が立って仕方がなかったのでブログ更新します（どういう動機だ！） 佐藤可士和氏がGUというファッションブランドのロゴをリデザインしたそうです。まぁ言ってしまえば元のロゴも大して良くはないのですが、その新ロゴというのが笑止千万な出来なので徹底的に図解して非難したいと思います。 まずはその新ロゴ。和文の方もグリッド多用しまくりで個人的には酷いと思うのですが、まぁ欧文書体デザイナーの自分としての本題はGUなので和文はさておきます。またネットでは色がIKEAだとかTSUTAYAだとかEUだとかブックオフだとか色に関してのツッコミが多いようですが、やはり自分としては文字の形そのものに注目したいと思います。あ、あとGUの配置も右寄りすぎますが文字の形そのものに以下同文です。なにせブログをなかなか継続して書けないこの自分を書かせる気にさせるほど酷いんですから。 ソースの画像は低解像

古い看板や商店には、今の書体とは違う独特の文字が使われていることが多い。時々そういうのを見かけると、思わず写真に撮ってしまう。 今回、メディアセブンという施設でまさにそういうワークショップをやるらしい。みんなで街中の文字を集めるのだ。行ってみたらすごいことになっていました。

HTMLで文字詰めするタイポグラフィー用JS | fladdict
HTMLのテキストに対して、文字詰めを行えるスクリプト FLAutoKerningクラスを作ってみた。サンプルはこちら。zipも。 スクリプト内に任意のカーニングペアを定義することによって、ブログのタイトル等のテキストに字詰めを行ってくれるスクリプトです。なんか探しても見つからなかったので自分でやってみた。いちおう朗文堂の新宿私塾に行ったわけだし、僕もなんか成果物作らんとなぁ。。。的に。 実行はとても簡単。jQueryと一緒にhtmlにロードして、 FLAutoKerning.process($(‘h1′)); FLAutoKerning.process($(‘h2′)); FLAutoKerning.process($(‘h3′)); といった具合に、適用したhtml要素を一括していしてやるだけ。カーニング情報の定義も、FLAutoKerningクラスの頭に、下のようにem単位で定義する
