Setting options from environment variables when using argparse
I have a script which has certain options that can either be passed on the command line, or from environment variables. The CLI should take precedence if both are present, and an error occur if neither are set. I could check that the option is assigned after parsing, but I prefer to let argparse to do the heavy lifting and be responsible for displaying the usage statement if parsing fails. I have
HTTP GET with request body
I'm developing a new RESTful webservice for our application. When doing a GET on certain entities, clients can request the contents of the entity. If they want to add some parameters (for example sorting a list) they can add these parameters in the query string. Alternatively I want people to be able to specify these parameters in the request body. HTTP/1.1 does not seem to explicitly forbid this.
