「田中功起について知っている、10の事柄。」 田中功起は、ビデオ作品をつくっている。 田中功起は、現実に非現実を侵入させる。 田中功起は、立体やテキスト作品もつくっている。 田中功起は、気持ちいい。 田中功起は、世界の見え方を新しくする。 田中功起は、開いている。 田中功起は、大仏に似ている。 田中功起は、確信犯である。 田中功起は、国籍に囚われない。 田中功起は、今、これらのすべてであり、すべてでない。 僕が、初めて彼の作品を実際に見たのは、縁側に座った笠智衆が扇子を延々と扇ぎ続けるビデオ作品（「「Perfect Life」2002」）だった。小津安二郎の映画「東京物語」のほんの数秒のシーンを無限にループさせたものだ。田中はこの時期、ループという「始まりも終わりもない」形式を、身の回りにあてはめた作品をつくりつづける。その後、「大地の芸術祭越後妻有アートトリエンナーレ2003」「六本木ク
